Lisa has worked in the impact economy for almost 20 years, supporting and investing in social entrepreneurs changing the world. Lisa founded ImpaQt Qld in 2018 to scale the impact ecosystem. She has been on the board of numerous not-for-profit organisations and is currently a Non-Executive Director of Cape York Partnership, Bama Services, and FHEAL. Through her consultancy, Shorebirds, she has facilitated several large-scale partnership projects that create social impact. She is a member of Brisbane Angel Investors and is an impact investor.
Lisa was the founding QLD Director of Social Ventures Australia, where she was responsible for a hub of over 60 social enterprises and profit-for-purpose businesses. Formerly, she was a Partner in consulting at Deloitte and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. Lisa has an MBA from Harvard University and an Engineering Degree (Honours) from the University of Queensland. In 2019, Lisa was a finalist for Qld Community Foundation Philanthropist of the Year and awarded an Australian Impact Investment Award.

Bernard is a Business Services Senior Partner with BDO in Brisbane. With over 30 years’ experience in growth advisory, Bernard is experienced and skilled in supporting business owners from startups to mature businesses set their strategy, managing growth, assist with investor readiness, and governance support. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions in private enterprises, sell and buy side, financial and taxation due diligence and preparation of valuations.
Bernard is an experienced Board Chair, Director and Advisory Board Chair having served on many boards including in healthcare, superannuation administration, fruit and vegetable distribution and early education, including Metro North Hospital & Health Service, The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, Creche & Kindergarten Association Limited and Queensland Community Foundation.
Bernard the Partner responsible for the BDO for Startups Program. He is a Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors, Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia & NZ, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and has a Bachelor of Business from QIT. He also served as Responsible Manager and a Director of BDO Qld Corporate Finance Ltd (AFSL holder) for 10 years until June 2020. In 2017 Bernard served as an Executive in Residence at the Accountancy School, QUT. In addition, Bernard was awarded the QCF Emerging Philanthropist of the Year in 2017.

Susan has worked in social enterprise for over 15 years, from early start-up of an employment social enterprise to working with Social Ventures Australia to support social enterprise development by establishing the first Social Enterprise Hub in Australia. Susan led SVA’s first Reconciliation Action Plan and has served as a Non-Executive Director for several years on Oxfam Australia.
In recent years, Susan has worked in Myanmar and Vietnam as an advisor in social enterprise. Susan has a Master of Social Welfare Administration and Planning from the University of Queensland.

Jemima is a Director of ImpaQt Qld and a 2019/20 Mercy Global Action Emerging Leaders Fellow (UN). She is a former Board Member at Queensland Social Enterprise Council and a QUT MBA Business Coach (2020). Jemima is on the philanthropy committee for All Hallows School. Jemima was a founding staff member of ImpaQt Qld and served as the first ImpaQt Qld GM. She has a Masters of Philosophy and Public Policy from London School of Economics (LSE). Jemima leads the ImpaQt work on social impact performance.

Anthony has 25+ years’ experience across local and global digital media and technology companies. He is a Public markets Director and CEO and founder and former CEO of Manalto Limited, a U.S based global social media management provider – with operations across Europe, Australia, North America and South Africa. Since early 2019, Anthony has supported many impact companies in the ImpaQt Qld pipeline.
Anthony is experienced in capital raising and capital advisory and investor readiness. He has worked in international markets with partners such as Microsoft, IBM Watson, Ingram Micro and AppDirect as well as directly with many large corporations and Fortune 500 companies.
He is also highly experienced in public markets as a Director and CEO, capital raising, global expansion, sales management and strategic commercial experience across global and multinational channel distribution, media agency environments, direct-to-market and government.
Associate - ImpaQt Fund
Josephine recently graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology. Josephine has experienced raising capital and managing portfolios, and was previously part of the Investment Team of the Creative Tech Ventures Fund, a $10 million fund managed by QUT Creative Enterprise Australia.
During her time at QUT, Josephine was the President of QUT Starters, a student society that supports and fosters entrepreneurship at university. She later became a Director Startup Hatch, a student pre-accelerator program bringing student startups to life. She was also an Executive Board Member of The Legal Forecast, her role specifically in the design and execution of Disrupting Law (national legal hackathon).
Analyst - ImpaQt Fund
Alistair is currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) at the University of Queensland (UQ) and is expected to graduate in November 2022. Alistair was a finalist in UQ’s Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) Challenge where students pitched to the UQ SMIF advisory board on how they would manage the SMIF, worth $200,000, over the next 6 months.
Alistair is an executive member for the University Network for Investing and Trading (UNIT) society at UQ. As part of UNIT, he is involved in organising events and workshops with investment banking and trading firms, to provide learning and networking opportunities for students interested in a career in finance.
Alistair’s role for the investment team includes due diligence, market, and industry research on prospective impact businesses.

Alex is one of Australia’s most experienced for-purpose executives. He was Executive Director of the Wise Foundation (2007-2018), Director of The Body Shop Australia (2007-2015), and Director at The Big Issue Australia (2000-2011). Alex is a current advisor to the Australian & Fijian national governments on social enterprise and impact investing.
